How did you react the moment your child was born? After months of preparation and hours of excruciating pain, how did you feel when your little one finally entered the world? For me, it was relief that labor had ended followed by uncertainty. When my oldest was born, he spent the first hour crying…loudly…wholeheartedly…until he was red from head to toe. My husband and I just looked at one another and wondered, “What have we gotten ourselves into?” I admit that while I was happy to meet him, I wasn’t necessarily filled with warm fuzzies. It wasn’t as if that moment of going from mom-to-be to mom-in-reality suddenly changed me. I had little to no baby experience before my first and the reality of that hit me with great impact as he wailed his way through the first hour of his life.

So tell us, honestly, how did you feel the moment you became a mom?
