It’s time again to pause for a moment and reflect on three things that brought me happiness this week. I think it’s important for us to take moments to breathe in, relax and find gratitude for things in our lives that might otherwise be swept under the rug of busyness. Today I give you a range of things from a functional product to a life stage and then music that always makes me happy. I hope you enjoy and be sure to comment below with your three (or more) highlights from your week.

3 Happinesses: What made you happy this week?

OtterBox

Yes, I am an otter lover and hope to be an otter owner at some point in my life (that’s a story for another day), but the name had nothing to do with the purchase…I think. When I got my new phone a few months ago, I picked out a cute cover from Etsy with one of my favorite Van Gogh paintings on it. I loved the aesthetics of the cover, but the durability was lacking, and with a 2-year-old who likes to bring me my phone whenever she finds it lying around, I was constantly on edge that my phone would get dropped and I’d realize that cuteness doesn’t equal quality. So, I decided to trade in the painting for a more durable cover. I was nervous that it would be bulky and heavy, but I was pleasantly surprised when my OtterBox Commuter arrived. It fits well, feels good, doesn’t add much bulk and looks better than I imagined. My only problem now is that I want to drop my phone and really test its durability. But instead I’ll just believe the Amazon reviews for now.

Matchy Matchy

Last weekend we celebrated Easter with my family. My mom had taken the girls shopping to pick out matching dresses. They absolutely loved them. But perhaps the best part was hearing people’s reactions to seeing them in their matching dresses. So many lamented the times when their own girls enjoyed doing that and it made me realize how this moment is fleeting. While they love dressing alike now, I know in a few years that will no longer be the case. It made me pause and reflect on the fact that as hectic as life with little ones can be, there are great moments of joy in it, and I’d better take notice now before the moments pass me by.

Mindy Gledhill

About a year ago, I came across the music of Mindy Gledhill and I instantly fell in love. Her voice, the music and her lyrics are a recipe for happiness. “Anchor” is perhaps one of her favorite songs of mine. I’m so thankful for my own anchor, my husband Matt. He certainly does anchor me back down…time and time again.

Now it’s your turn. What are your three happinesses from the week? If you’re a blogger, join in the fun and leave your link below. I’d love to see what has brought a smile to your face this week.
